This tour to The Cliffs of Moher begins early on saturday mornings and includes a busy schedule of visits. The Cliffs of Moher at Liscannor is among the most visited attractions in Ireland, offering magnificent panoramic views of the Atlantic and breathtaking clifftop walks, remembering the Cliff Path Safety Code. These rise 120 metres above the Atlantic Ocean at Hags Head and 214 metres further north along the coast. From the Cliffs and from O’Briens Tower you can see the Aran Islands in Galway Bay.
A wonderful visitor centre and fine restaurant combine to make this visit to County Clare a truely memorable visit to this Wild Atlantic Way. We stop at Bunratty, an opportunity to take a photograph of the famous castle and maybe enjoy a walk around the Blarney Woolen Mills before we continue our daytour to County Tipperary and visit one of the great Castles of Ireland and one of its largest.
Cahir Castle is a stunning example of a Norman Castle, built in the 12th Century and became home to the Butlers, Earls of Ormond. Butler was an acquired name, describing a title held by the head of the family in court – Butler to the Crown. It has been used as a location for The Tudors television series and location for a battle scene in Excalibur. From Cahir we return to Cork City after a very fullfing day. Return to Cork approx 5.45pm
